Worthing gains its first Extra Care development

Children from Durrington Middle School joined Saxon Weald and Worthing's Mayor to open Highdown Court, Worthing's first purpose-built Extra Care development on 10 December 2010.
The Mayor, Ann Sayers, was delighted with the scheme and joked about reserving her own apartment. Residents and guests enjoyed a Christmas carol concert by the children and a buffet lunch made by the on-site team from Pride Catering.
Highdown Court has 54 one and two bedroom apartments for people with care and support needs. A professional staff of carers works 24 hours a day, seven days a week, helping the residents to live independently.
