Hampshire has more than 700,000 homes, and is committed to providing 80,000 more between 1996-2011.
This ambitious target is to be achieved through increasing inner city densities in Portsmouth and Southampton. A third of the homes will be built in towns and cities across the 13 council areas, while four towns – Andover, Eastleigh, Basingstoke and Waterlooville – are to be significantly expanded.
Sovereign Development Consortium has recently completed the first of several projects in the town extension in northern Basingstoke (Popley Fields), and is a preferred partner for a similar project planned for Andover.
In April 2007, Southampton City Council asked Sovereign Development Consortium to join its housing partnership, and both Sovereign Housing Group and Saxon Weald Housing Association are working with local developers and landowners to identify sites.
We are also providing high quality village homes in Highclere and Overton.
